Why floral stories?
If the term "floral story" is new to you, that's to be expected. For the most part, it's something I made up. Inspired by the language of flowers, aptly called floriography, a floral story is curated to deliver a meaningful message. Based on your inspiration, specific flowers are selected to convey your loving sentiment. Once the flowers are chosen and arranged, a short story is written to accompany the arrangement, giving further meaning to your recipient.
The need for beauty
I think of beauty as an absolute necessity. I don't think it's a privilege or an indulgence, it's not even a quest. I think it's almost like knowledge, which is to say, it's what we were born for. I think finding, incorporating and then representing beauty is what humans do.

Request
This is where you tell us a little bit about your flower recipient and what you hope to convey with beautiful blooms and a custom curated story. The more detail you provide about the person or occasion, the more custom your floral story.
Flower Selection
Understanding the "why" behind your request helps us select the best fresh-cut blooms to design your arrangement. Our goal is to select flowers that support the story you want to tell to make your recipient feel seen and known.
Floral Story
Words can be difficult. That's why we write a short story (up to 60 words) to include with the arrangement based on your request. Also included is a curated flower meaning index to help the recipient feel the love from every bloom.

How far in advance do I need to submit a floral story request?
We want your floral story to be designed with the utmost intention, from flower selection to story writing. Ideally, we are receiving your request 7 days in advance. If you need something sooner, please email hello@cheskasfloral.com to see if accommodations can be made.
Why do some flowers have multiple meanings?
Flowers have been given meaning throughout history by different religions, people groups, generations, etc. When curating flower stories, we select the meaning that resonates most closely with your story.
Do you have a storefront where I can visit you?
Though we'd be delighted to exchange flower stories with you over a cuppa, we operate out of a private design studio and do not have a public storefront.
